My name is Gwynne and I am a bilingual! I graduated as Master of Arts in Northumbria University in England, majoring in communication design. I have spoken both English and Indonesian ever since I was a toddler. Now, I am a graphic designer and youtuber promoting Indonesian travel and culture (all my travel contents are in English). I am focused on traveling Indonesia, and learning more of its culture whilst preparing for more adventures around Asia. I would love to connect through teaching Bahasa Indonesia!Me as a Teacher
I have casually taught my friends and people coming from other countries my language through conversations, I even teach people who are already enrolled in a course and formally learning Bahasa Indonesia.
What surprises me about conversing with people who are learning Bahasa Indonesia is that they sound very formal and rigid, even in casual settings. Most of the time, Indonesians do not speak the way it's taught in textbooks and formal courses!
I will focus on casual and more natural way of speaking, more commonly used in everyday life, without losing focus on vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style will be conversational. There will definitely be roleplaying, quizzes as well as insights to what students should focus on next. I can also do reading and writing lessons to improve student's pronunciation and expand their vocabulary!
I will highlight the differences between formal and casual conversations, where to use them, how to address people and much more. That way, language learners can sound more natural and confident. furthermore, know how to speak in different settings. My lessons can be personalized depending on student's needs and learning style.My teaching material
