About Me

Hi! I'm Öykü from Antalya, Turkey. I am an architect and an urban planner living in Germany. I came to Germany to study my masters degree in Stuttgart and I studied Urban planning. Before I came to Germany, I finished my bachelors degree in Istanbul, Turkey and lived in Turkey for 26 years. Besides my education, I enjoy spending time in the kitchen, I like cooking savory food. I am also interested in watercolour painting and digital arts such as digital collage and illustration.

Me as a Teacher

I am a patient and funny teacher who enjoys teaching and learning at the same time. I make sure that my student looks forward to our classes. The most important part for me is being consistent and I offer my time to practice as often as possible and of course as my students require.

My lessons & teaching style

For me, the hardest part of the learning process of a language is learning vocabulary, memorising and using them in the correct way. I usually aim to teach vocabulary by practicing speaking and writing tasks as well as reading according to the level of my student. Even though I have my own structure, I try to be as flexible as possible to allow my students to feel comfortable. Adapting my way of teaching to each student's learning process is one of the key aspects for me, that way I can offer a productive learning environment.
