Hi! My name is Annika Mangabat, I am 20 years old and I live in the Philippines. I am currently studying and I am at my 3rd year College. I am taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies at Rizal Technological University.
I really love teaching, ever since I was a kid. I believed that teaching is for me. I am destined to become a teacher. Teaching is my passion. I do not see myself in any other job but a teacher specially in public schools.Me as a Teacher
Me as a teacher, I would say that I am a strict but I have my considerations under some circumstances. But, don't be afraid of me because we don't just sit and listen to lectures all day in our time! We will get up and move, play games, and even sing and dance! I am open to correcting me in every ways and I have sympathy towards my students. I have strong communication and listening skills that a teacher should have. I also have organizational skills and lesson planning skills since I am an education student. I also love collaborative and engaging classroom. I told myself that I will have or I will ensure that I have a classroom that is conducive to learning.My lessons & teaching style
I use constructivist approach (constructivism) in my lesson. Since the day it was introduce to me, I knew that it will always be my approach when I teach. I believe that constructivists ensures that learners construct knowledge rather than just passively take in information. As I have mentioned above, I want a classroom that is engaging and collaborative, in a collaborative learning environment, the constructivist teacher provides tools such as problem-solving and inquiry-based learning activities to help students conceive and test their ideas, make conclusions and inferences, and share their knowledge.My teaching material
