Hi everyone, my name is Silvia, I am 32 years old and I am an Italian language teacher.
I enjoy both teaching and learning new languages. I worked as an Italian teacher both abroad and in Italy. I started working as an Italian teacher in 2014, when, after graduating, I moved to China, in Nanning. After this experience I returned to Italy, where I continued to teach Italian for two years at the University of Udine. At the moment I am in Italy but since three years I'm an Italian lecturer at the Normal University of Science and Technology of Qinhuangdao, in China. In my spare time I like cooking, doing sports, reading, listening to music, watching movies, travelling and taking pictures!Me as a Teacher

Master's - Language and Culture of Africa and AsiaI got my master degree in march 2014 with the grade mark 110/110 e lode. My dissertation' s title is “ Meeting Xiao Hong: a Chinese writer”, where I translated from Chinese to Italian three unpublished short stories by Xiao Hong (1911 -1942) and I analyzed of some literary works of the writer.
Work Experience
2014 - 2015
Italian TeacherI taught Italian language in China, in Nanning city, where for six months I worked at the Guangxi Minzu Daxue, preparing daily lessons for Chinese students aged 18-22 years old, following a teaching program finalized to pass the CILS test.
2010 - 2011
Intern as TeacherMy first experience as teacher’s assistant has been in 2011: from December to June, I did an internship as teacher’s assistant at Istituto Comprensivo Guinizelli – Caracci, via Cà Selvatica 11, 40123, Bologna, Italy. My main duties included lessons on various subjects (Italian grammar, History, English, Geography) organized in order to facilitate learning among peers and to facilitate the acquisition of an effective method of study.

I have never used an online platform before to learn a language and this was a very positive experience. Silvia understood my needs perfectly and had prepared the class accordingly. She provided lots of useful advice and correction. This was only a taster session but I enjoyed the class and will continue to book classes with Silvia.
