Originally from The Netherlands, I was born in to an adventurous family who both encouraged and enabled their children to travel. My extensive travels to many corners of the world provide me with the inspiration to continue to cross borders, even in the world of education and research. Living by the motto, “When was the last time you did something for the first time?”, I have created a list of experiences that ranges from working in the Amazon rain forest to traveling to South East Asia. Education, both in languages and biology, has always been a big part of my life.Me as a Teacher
One of my biggest passion is the sharing of knowledge. And you will notice that in my classes. Whether it is on my guided tours in the jungle or in one of my strictly structured classes, I make a clear effort to find out what is that your goal is and then do my best to identify what you need. My knowledge is broad and making sure that you get those pieces that you need at the time that you need it is my drive.My lessons & teaching style
I shine in the most informal classes where I create a safe and informal atmosphere where you can feel comfortable to both express yourself and learn. I love making any educational activity as entertaining as possible and very often find a theme for my classes that will inspire you to learn more. This is the result of my outdoor education background.
