My name is Ida. I am natively Norwegian and have lived in England on and off since 2017. My hobbies include reading, writing, hiking, drawing, and learning new languages! I love telling people about my beautiful home country and teaching them Norwegian.

Me as a Teacher

I am a structured, yet laid-back teacher. I love tailoring lessons to the learning style of my individual students. What my students wish to focus on, is what my lessons will focus on! Depending on my student's preferences, I will either match or challenge their energy in each lesson. Whether you need a chill lesson or an upbeat lesson - I got you!

My lessons & teaching style

I teach conversational Norwegian, in the Østlandsdialekt (Oslo Dialect) which is the closest to the main Norwegian written language (Bokmål). The tools I use in my lessons can vary. It may be a worksheet, an article, or perhaps something different. My overall approach is to tailor the lesson to the learning style of individual students. As everyone learns differently. My creative writing background may also mean that I might challenge my students to read or write Norwegian stories sometimes - but only if they feel comfortable doing so.
