I am a South African mother of a young daughter who is almost three, this information is relavent because it means I have the patience of teaching young children. Teaching is something I have inherited from both my parents hence I left the corporate world to become a teacher and I have no regrets about that. I am a certified teacher who is registered with the South African Council of Educators. I have 7 years teaching experience and over a year giving one on one and group tutorials. I have three qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce qualification majoring in Financial Accounting; Post Graduatre Certificate in Education and Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership and Management.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are very interactive because i believe that I have as much to learn from students as they can learn from me. In a group setting, I also believe that students can learn from each other. So when i teach, I like to explain things and then give the student an opportunity to explain back to me so that I can assess how they have understood what I just taught. I also like to use relavent examples that my students can relate to, in order to show that classroom content is not in isolation from real life scenarios.
In my class I also let students know that they should not be afraid of making mistakes because it is through mistakes that we learn the most.Making mistakes is part of learningMy teaching material
