Hello! My name is Polina, nice to meet you :)
I am from Kyiv, Ukraine. Currently I live in Slovenia.
Learning languages has always been my passion and hobby, because I think that it is a perfect way to develop yourself, get to know interesting cultures and traditions. Also, knowing foreign language provides me with possibility of meeting a lot of new people from all over the world and feeling comfortable when I travel. I also enjoy music and contemporary art.Me as a Teacher
I started being a tutor 1 year and a half ago, and during this time I have helped a lot of students to achieve their goals.
I have genuine enthusiasm for Ukrainian language and a sincere desire to share my knowledge with students. I adapt to goals and interests of my students, because learning a new language is not only about grammar, books and rules. Learning a language is a process of immersing yourself in the atmosphere of it. I understand that every student learns at their own pace and may face challenges along the way. I tend to create as friendly and supportive atmosphere, as I can, so that my students will be feeling comfortable with making mistakes and asking questions.My lessons & teaching style
In my practise, I provide my students with musical, video, reading materials (lined up with their subjects of choice) to make the lesson effective, interesting and diverse. I design lessons and activities that are relevant, meaningful, and connected to real-life situations. I prioritise interactive activities that encourage students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in real-life contexts. I provide insights into Ukrainian culture, customs, and traditions to make learning journey fulfilled and interesting. I adjust my teaching methods, pace, and content based on the students' progress and preferences. It is worth mentioning that constructive feedback is also essential partMy teaching material
