Dear Learners,
My name is Ali and I am from Iran, my native language is Persian/Farsi. However, I have been teaching English and Persian for a rather long time. This time, I have decided to take my teaching Persian on an online level and chose the esteemed italki service. They, as they say, are changing language learning worldwide. I like teaching Persian as much as teaching English; however, just because I am a Persian native speaker who is very much familiar with its grammar, vocabulary, and culture does not simply follow that I am able to teach it. 'Picking up' a language, as in the case of a mother tongue, is different from 'learning' a second or foreign language. Teachers normally use their personal experience of learning a second or foreign language in teaching it.My lessons & teaching style
The above is indeed a valuable experience and acts as a means of instruction; however, when one picks the mother tongue up, everything seems to be acquired more subconsciously, thus making it difficult to make use of the experience in teaching it, because it is a latent knowledge or intuition.
I am keen on languages, and I went to university to become to professional language teacher of English, most of the rules of which can be employed in teaching languages in general. On the other hand, my experiences regarding teaching Persian is attention-worthy.
I start from the basics of Persian simply and understandably, using English as the medium of instruction to make it an unforgettable memory.My teaching material
