Hello there! Kumusta? I’m Shai, the tutor you’ve been searching for. I’ve been tutoring in my hometown for over four years now. I just recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, major in Filipino.
Besides teaching, I love reading historical books and watching historical films, series and documentaries. I am patient and understanding. I know it can be difficult to learn a new language, so I don't rush my students to understand everything right away. Instead, I focus on making sure they really understand a particular lesson before we move on to the next. I teach in a way that works best for each student. And I always keep our lessons positive and engaging.My lessons & teaching style
I start by assessing how much my students know about the Filipino language. This helps me figure out if they're beginners, intermediate, advanced, or already proficient. This way, I can decide on the most suitable lessons to give them.
Furthermore, I think that learning the Filipino language is more than just memorizing vocabulary and grammar rules. You need to really get into Filipino culture. For this reason, I’ll provide you with interactive learning materials that will help you experience the culture.
