Ahoj! Čau!
I am Andrea, a translator and a tutor. I am a native Czech speaker and fluent in English (I am also half Vietnamese, but I do not speak Vietnamese :D). Additionally, I have studied German for several years and am currently completing my master's degree in German for interpreting and translating.
I am a big food lover, but need to admit that I am surprisingly not a big fan of Czech cuisine :D I love sports, especially climbing. (Did you know that the best climber in the world comes from the Czech Republic?) I am very curious and I love to meet new people, explore new things, and visit new places. The last thing I want to share is that I love art, and consider myself an artist.Me as a Teacher
I have experience in tutoring, as it was my primary part-time job during my studies. While I haven't conducted much online tutoring yet, I am truly excited about this new experience. It doesn't matter whether you're a complete beginner, slightly advanced, or advanced. Whether you're looking for a dedicated teacher or just a conversation partner, I am here for you and I am really looking forward to our lessons!
My focus is mostly on conversation, and grammar naturally follows. However, if you'd like to concentrate more on grammar, we can certainly accommodate that as well.My lessons & teaching style
I adjust my teaching style every time to meet the specific needs of my students. For example, when I had a student who wanted to learn German for business purposes related to cars, we concentrated on vocabulary from that field. Since he didn't have much time for our meetings, I assigned more homework and provided additional materials for him.
I really enjoyed tutoring all the people I met. It made me happy to see their progress, and it warmed my heart when a student of mine texted me suddenly after half a year to thank me because she graduated and was accepted to college. Teaching is wonderful.My teaching material
