I speak English and Dutch natively, Thai at intermediate level, Mandarin, French and German at a basic beginner level. I love movies, I used to work in the film industry, I do calisthenics, GMB, Animal Flow, Rock Climbing and of course bicycling as my mode of transport (like everyone here in The Netherlands). I also used to work in the film industry, on movies and commercials. I still work freelance as a videographer, photographer, video editor and colorist.Me as a Teacher
I believe in promoting critical thinking in the language you are learning, and creating personal meaning in speaking and writing to enhance retention. I have taught hundreds of students over the course of 7 years of teaching English, both through online platforms as well as in-person lessons. I have taught second grade ESL as well as business English to the Thai Board of Investment, Siemens, Toyota and Wallstreet Institute. My approach for teaching Dutch will be conversation at its core, while addressing all four skills (writing, reading, listening and speaking).My lessons & teaching style
I like conversations, language games, analysing articles together, or movies or videos. But I like to teach for specific goals as well, such as writing e-mails, essays, job application letters, anything that may be part of your goals. My trial class with Martin was fun and useful, there was never a dull moment.
I enjoyed talking to him, his patience and kindness made me feel comfortable to practice my Dutch with him.
I think I will take classes with him in the future, especially to practice conversation.
