Hello! My name is Brad. I've been teaching English for more than six years now.
I'm Australian, though my accent has become neutral from working abroad. I've taught English in Australia, China, Korea, and in Taiwan (where I'm currently living).
I love learning! I've taken an interest in and have been learning, Mandarin. It's given me a deeper understanding of the difficulties students face when learning another language.
A lot of things grab my interest and I'm able to talk about a range of topics that may be interesting to you. For example, I have a passion for DIY. I have taught myself how to work on cars and electronics, as well as house renovation skills.Me as a Teacher
I would describe a class with me as a relaxed environment that is conversational. The best use of time during the lesson is to provide you with chances to practice speaking English.
While we are talking you have my full attention and I am always thinking of ways to help you improve.My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is student-centered. My approach is to find out the student’s learning goals and then build lessons from there. I make good use of the time during the lesson to work towards the student’s learning goals.
If the student has a resource they intend to use, I will work through it with them. I also have my own textbooks, activities, and worksheets that can be used. However, in a one-on-one lesson maintaining conversation with the student is the most beneficial aspect for them.My teaching material
