I’m Yumi. I'm a native Japanese speaker and live in Tokyo.
I speak Japanese with a standard Japanese accent. I was born and raised in Aomori prefecture until I turned 10, so I can also speak with a Tsugaru accent, which is one of the most difficult accents to understand, even for Japanese people (it’s like the Japanese version of a Scottish accent).
In university, I majored in Business Administration, so we can talk about anything from Japanese subculture to business and any topic you are interested in or would like to learn.

I have experience working as English support staff in Japan for 3 years, where I’ve assisted over 1000 international visitors. I currently teach English in Japan.
I love talking with people and learning about cultures around the world. During my student years, I studied English in Canada for a year and made friends thanks to our shared love for anime. This experience motivated me to teach Japanese as a volunteer in Canada.My lessons & teaching style

I understand the challenges of learning a foreign language as I have been learning English myself.

• If you want to improve your listening skills and learn natural expressions, I could talk more.
