I've worked in accounting, management consulting, and the nonprofit sector. I left the corporate world to have more time for my projects, and to use my language skills to teach English.
My biggest hobbies are drawing, singing/guitar, making videos, and writing. I love philosophy and podcasts.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I focus on giving students enjoyable opportunities for acquiring and practicing English which are appropriate for their level. Although I'm happy to answer grammar questions, I don't focus on grammar rules, but rather on using English effectively and accurately through real conversations (at any level).
For people wanting to improve pronunciation/accent, I have lots of tools and experience that will help you reach your desired level.
I study four languages, and am a beginner, intermediate, and advanced learner -- thus I have a good sense of what's helpful at all levels.
My 168-hour TEFL certificate and 2 years teaching in Japan give me a great foundation to draw from.My lessons & teaching style

For conversation sessions, I welcome students who are comfortable talking without a lesson plan, or who bring their own study material to practice. Noting your errors, I help you understand them and any new language that comes up. I suggest new words and phrases that are more natural or more expressive.
My structured lessons are currently only for beginners (who speak languages I also speak). Feel free to contact me if you have a specific request.
For all lesson types -- I keep track of what you're learning or struggling with in a shared Google Doc.
