About Me

I love teaching and learning languages. I can help you with every aspect of English, always in a fun and interesting way, using your needs and interests as a starting point. Whether you need to improve your pronunciation, practise your speaking, listening or reading skills, get help with your writing, or study grammar, pronunciation, or vocabulary, I can create lessons just for you. I have a degree in Linguistics and Psychology, which combined with my years of experience, gives me good insights into how people learn languages. I only teach adults on italki.My lessons & teaching style
I think the student's interests and abilities are an important starting point, so I always find out what my students are interested in and base our lessons around those topics. People learn best when they are relaxed, so I try to create a stress-free learning environment where you learn at your own pace.
For students at B1 level and above, I use real-world materials as much as possible: for example news articles, YouTube videos, Ted Talks. This gives my students lots of exposure to English as it spoken and written in the real world!
In conversation classes, I take notes while my students speak and give detailed feedback on grammar vocabulary and pronuncation at the end of the lesson.My teaching material

I am so grateful to Aisling, since she helped me a lot in achieving my goal: writing a thesis in English. My lecturer told me I clearly and well wrote my dissertation. Aisling's grammar corrections drastically improved the quality of my dissertation. She is professional, helpful, and kind, in fact, I immediately felt at ease. Her method is effective and efficient. She clearly explains every grammar rule, and she also suggested to me the proper forms, words, and idioms suited to every particular context.

I took classes with Aisling 3 or 4 times a week for 3 months in preparation for moving to Ireland to start a new job. Aisling was a great teacher, she understood perfectly my needs and prepared classes specifically for me based on my needs and interests and what I needed for my job.
She was so professional and she really helped me to become more confident in my speaking abilities through working on my pronunciation and grammar and discussing lots of different topics.
Her communication skills and ways of explaining things are excellent. I highly recommend her as a teacher.
