I'm Indra, I'm a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Venezuela, and I would love to help your learn Spanish.
A bit about me: I'm a nurse, I love to read and learn about new things, cultures, languages and whatnot. I'm a self-taught English speaker, although I took a course and have an advanced student certification as bilingual.
Soy Indra, nací y crecí en Venezuela por lo que mi lengua materna es el español, pero aprendí a hablar inglés hace muchos años gracias a mi interés en los libros, música y películas en el idioma. Hace un par de años tomé un curso para certificarme como bilingüe y he enseñado el idioma a amigos y familia.
Me as a Teacher
I'm a firm believer that the key to being fluent in any language is to start thinking in the language. I would like to teach you new ways to make your brain think in this foreign way, until it becomes a second nature.
Even though I'm not a professional teacher, as a student I can understand the struggles of learning a new language and I'm a very patient, so you can trust me to correct and help you.
A pesar de que no soy profesora graduada, tengo la capacidad de comprender desde el punto de vista del estudiante las dificultades al aprender. Whether you want to practice the language, want to gain confidence or are learning for a job or for fun, I can tutor you and help you achieve your goals. Within the lessons we can practice pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and anything you have questions about.
In any case, I'm prepared to give you tips and ways to practice outside lessons, using music, books and movies as a tool to learn the language.
