Working with Belem for the past eight months has been transformative for my Spanish language skills. When I first started, I was a complete beginner with no prior experience in Spanish. Now, I am able to carry on simple conversations with Spanish speakers, a testament to her exceptional teaching abilities. Belem has an incredible knack for making even the most difficult topics easy to understand. We have worked on many types of input, including reading, grammar, listening, shadowing, and writing. She explains concepts clearly in both English and Spanish, ensuring comprehension at every step. Her use of examples and guided practice makes learning engaging and effective. Additionally, she tailors each class to suit my skill level and interests, making every lesson both relevant and enjoyable. Belem's personalized approach and supportive teaching style have been key to my progress and confidence in speaking Spanish. She is always upbeat, friendly, and has a great way of keeping the class

I have completed a handful of lessons with Belem and she is nothing short of impressive. She does an excellent job of finding your weaknesses and correcting them effectively. She is far more professional than any other teacher I have worked with and has spent LOTS of time perfecting her craft. She has a plethora of material she has created and curated herself and all of it is polished. I have made noticeable progress in a short amount of time with her help. She has instilled in me the confidence to speak (a roadblock I was experiencing prior to our lessons) and made clear the many questions that I had prior to her instruction. She understands the difficulties of learning a new language from experience (she is proficient in multiple languages and has perfect English). Reserve a lesson ASAP, it won't be long until she is fully booked. Honestly, Belem is the best! I've taken lessons with a handful of tutors, but Belem is #1 for me. Her lessons are always great; a mix of challenging, fun, and always supportive. I truly feel that I'm learning a lot. I love the combination of using her Literal Spanish site along with the 1:1 classes, and also using the grammar book for additional support. Today we focused on reflexive verbs (which I desperately need to practice), and Belem pulled in more resources, and then developed a plan for the coming sessions. Truly, she is the best and I highly recommend her to anyone looking to advance in learning Spanish!

I look forward to coming to class every week and working on my Spanish with Bel! She is very patient and really knows how to teach Spanish rather than reading over materials from a textbook the whole class. Her classes are fun and creative!

Belem switched gears on the fly to help reinforce some concepts I am working on. She gives me a variety of homework that is all very practical in actual daily use of Spanish!

This is my first lesson with Belem and she is quick to adapt to my needs. Her English is great which is helpful. So far so good, looking forward to my next one!
