Hello! My name is Juanita. I have taught English informally for about 4 years and formally for one year in South Korea. My lessons are for those of all levels that want to focus on speaking and listening. I have two degrees, one in International Studies and another in Religious studies. I have traveled to France, Italy, Morocco, South Korea and many other countries. Some of my interests are traveling, language learning, listening to music in all languages from Korean to Spanish, and of course binge-watching dramas on Netflix. I am willing to talk about any and everything so our classes will never be boring.

Me as a Teacher

As a teacher, I am someone that focuses mainly on speaking and listening. I know that this is something many language learners struggle with because it is difficult to practice by yourself.

My lessons & teaching style

For the first lesson, we will get to know each other and talk about your learning style. For example, do you want to discuss current events going on in the world or would like to learn basic phrases that Americans use daily? I will come up with discussion topics before each lesson and we will have conversations based on these topics for the lesson. Feel free to suggest any topics that you want for our lessons. It helps me get to know you and also makes the lesson more fun and enjoyable.
