About Me

Ola! I'm Nicola, I live in Portugal with my husband and rescue dog, Andorinha. After living in London for 10 years, working in the hectic world of Public Relations, I decided to make the move with my husband to the Alentejo region of Portugal, to sample the more laid back lifestyle of its south-west coast. Its here that I decided to retrain to become an English teacher, teaching English as a foreign language. I love to walk, swim and explore the coast and plentiful beaches with our rescue dog. I'm an animal lover and an all round fun gal with a great sense of humour.

Me as a Teacher

I am friendly and approachable and like to incorporate fun and creativity into my lessons. I'm also a good listener so am happy to answer any questions you may have about life in the UK and our quirky British culture!

My lessons & teaching style

I have a mixture of private language school, summer school and private client experience. I have over 6 years’ experience teaching English across all age groups with the majority of my experience gained preparing students for the Cambridge exams. I enjoy team work and this is a primary focus of my lesson plans. I prefer interactive lessons for young learners and favour conversation and debate for older or more advanced learners. I can also offer insider knowledge about the culture and customs of the UK.
