About Me
italki teacher since Aug 7, 2010
If you’re struggling to learn Italian, trust the advice of a polyglot.
I was raised speaking only Italian, and now I speak 12 foreign languages, mostly at an advanced level, several of which I learned without going abroad, some in only a few months. I achieved this as an adult by speaking with people, not in class or with books, using original techniques and free or affordable learning resources.

Me as a Teacher
I've taught Italian to adults in language schools and universities. I work as an independent translator from Japanese, Korean, and Chinese into Italian. I've lectured in polyglot clubs about my method.
I have developed my own Italian audio course "Ripeti con me!" Take it between classes to practice speaking even if you're alone.
Apart from regular language classes, if you're serious about learning Italian or any other language, I recommend taking my webinar “Fluent. Simple.” At the end of the course, you'll know exactly what to do to learn languages fast.
* Book at least 24 hours in advance even if Italki lets you book later.
My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are designed to:
- Stick with Italian from Day 1
- Practice all the skills needed for communication
- Learn words through gestures, and grammar by examples
- Gradually shift from textbook to real-life material
- Follow a plan to master grammar
- Memorize by spaced repetition
- Keep topics relevant to you
- Keep motivation
Dear beginner, I'll teach you only if:
- You're motivated and consistent (2+ lessons per week)
- You have at least 30 minutes a day for self-study
- You're willing to take my webinar on how to learn languages (if Italian is your first foreign language)
* My availability is limited in order to focus on my website

In Stefano’s class I feel relaxed and not judged. He helps me say the things that I want to say, that matter to me, not meaningless sentences for practicing a certain grammar point. Thank you!

Stefano is a consumate professional, and lives what he teaches. Highly recommended, I will be following up with him to do two lessons a week as well as utilize his program if his trial is any indicator of the results that will follow.
If you want to learn what works and not spend ten years messing about, reach out to Stefano and start your Italian journey today!

Stefano had me thinking and speaking in Italian immediately. I realised that I knew more than I originally thought.

It was a pleasure to meet Stefano here on Italki. He is a very quiet, polite and charming teacher with a lot of experience in language learning.
