Hi. I'm Aya. I am originally from Tokyo Japan, but currently living in London UK.
Travelling is my passion and I enjoy seeing life from a new perspective.

I believe Honey Nut Cornflakes are the best cereal, but I'll eat noodle soup for breakfast any day of the week.

My lessons & teaching style
My classes are flexible, relaxed, student-centred and focus on meaningful communication. I believe 'using' is the most important part of language learning, so I structure my lessons around the student speaking as much as possible. We speak about topics that interest you or I can suggest as we go. Sharing ideas and opinions on many things increases vocabulary knowledge and fluency skills. I look forward to meeting you in the class.

Aya is always very fun and interesting to talk to. She can fluently switch from grammar and vocabulary support to new conversation topics. It is always great learning new words, functions and cultural pecularities with her.

After more than one year and a half of courses with Aya-sensei, I can safely say that she’s still the best Japanese teacher I ever had ! I’ve come a long way since my struggles with basic sentence building :) I hope to continue our weekly sessions for a long time !!

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Aya, one of the best online lesson experiences I have had! Aya is very enthusiastic, funny and supportive so I felt very comfortable. The lesson was well structured and I took away a lot of useful sentence patterns. I look forward to the next lesson, and thank you~

Aya is always a very effective listener and can help you greatly improve in the aspects of grammar and natural speech. She is always quick to help with problems in pronunciation or vocabulary and I would highly recommend taking her classes.
