Hi! I'mTutihashi Satoshi Fernando.
I'm from Japan, but I'm Brazilian. For family reasons, I moved to Brazil and I lived there for 16 years (2021) and for this reason, I speak Japanese and Portuguese like a native. I love to teach anything because I want to become a professor. I love to talk about Japan and its culture. I have experience as a Japanese teacher and would like to teach more people.
Currently I'm a doctoral's student in Japan and that's why I don't have as much time available as before, but whenever possible I'll be available to help you! Let's study/practice Japanese and/or Portuguese together!
Me as a Teacher
I usually analyze the student's profile to be able to teach in the best possible way. I am very patient and attentive. As a Community tutor, I like to teach taking questions from students. My teaching method focuses on practicing conversation, using casual language to simulate daily conversation. Vocabulary, pronunciation, intonation, and grammar are taught naturally as the conversation evolves.
My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is based on conversation. If the student does not understand what I said, I write the entire sentence and teach each word that the student does not know. So I would like students to ask without hesitation.
I like to recommend series or anime so that students can get used to less formal language. For more formal language I recommend newspapers and books.
If the student already has an intermediate level of Japanese and wants to boost knowledge of daily life language, I read manga together with the students and teach slang and vices of the language, as well as onomatopoeia.
I really had a great conversation with Satoshi san. We talked about each other and went through various other subjects. We laughed a lot too haha !!
Even though I can understand Japanese, I have some problems to find my words while speaking. And Satoshi san kindly helped me to translate words from English to Japanese. Even though sometimes I will speak in English, he will still speak in Japanese which encourages me to continue in Japanese too. I really appreciated that !
さとしさん,楽しい会話ありがとうございます! またお話しできるのを楽しみにしています!
