I recently joined Italki on May 20th/2024. I am a native Spanish speaker from Ecuador and a C2 level English speaker; if you know anything about the Galapagos Islands, that's Ecuador! I love meeting new people and cultures and sharing my own with them. Learning a new language is a fun way to get to know new cultures, so let's learn together!

Private tutorI have been a private tutor since 2020, giving online and in-person classes to students of every level of entry, teaching English and Spanish in Ecuador. I have had many students go from A1 to B2 in just 6 months, using my method of "Listen, then repeat", where we focus our attention on listening to movie scenes or audio files, and repeat after understanding.

Sami was very friendly and it was a very casual lesson. She did a great job asking me questions so I could practice speaking before we focused more on grammar.

Sami was awesome! We jumped right in and began speaking. I tried to sound fluent so she spoke to me as if I was. That speed and cadence really challenged me in a good way! I asker her at the end to speak slower next time lol ha! I am glad I booked her, her demeanor is calm and our lesson flew by because of how comfortable she made me feel. ¡Sami es excelente y me alegro de haber tomado su clase!

I enjoyed my lesson with Sami. She’s fluent in American English, which makes it easier for me to understand her. She introduced me to past tense endings. This was great because I was able to learn something new.
