Hi there! I am Vesta - a language learning enthusiast turned italki community tutor for people from all over the world who want to confidently speak Lithuanian.
I enjoy learning languages myself as it opens the doors to new experiences! I speak English to a high standard as I've lived in the UK for many years. I also speak Spanish and have a lot of love for the Mediterranean!Me as a Teacher
As a teacher, I aim to make our sessions fun and interesting. In our lessons, we work from books such as "Colloquial Lithuanian", "Nė dienos be lietuvių kalbos" and other resources online. My main goal is for you to feel safe in making more mistakes which then leads to confidence expressing yourself in Lithuanian.
From years of working in Behaviour Change with people, I know that adding new routines is not easy. Busy life and competing commitments make it difficult to stick to a routine. While I am encouraging and supportive, my best advice for a beginner is to lower your expectations when learning. Less is more at the very beginning while you are building a routine.My lessons & teaching style
Language immersion is one of the best things to do. I love sharing links to articles, videos and audios for you to get used to the language based on your current level.
The main objective of the lessons is to have fun, make mistakes, and learn from them and you are well on your way to speaking Lithuanian with confidence!My teaching material
