Hello! My name is Tonia and I live in Greece. My native language is not only Greek,but Russian as well. Experts call it "biligual" ! )))
I graduated from university as a social worker. However,people often asked me to help them or their children with one or the other language. Because of my belief :" if you want to help someone , who is hungry,don't give him fish, but give him a fishing rod and teach him to fish", all of a sudden, I found myself teaching. So, my professional activity, little by little, turned its way to tutoring!)))Me as a Teacher
A bad teacher describes,a good - explains, an excellent - shows and a great - inspires!
I'm not interesred of being a great teacher but I really want to inspire you to keep learning languages and meeting other cultures!!! That's why I believe that aquisition of a language is much more than simple learning.
Learning by memorizing lists of vocabulary and grammar can be important ,but aquisition means that you not only learn but apply those principles in the real world.

When a student is engaged in critical thinking,he/she stops paying so much attention to grammar and details of vocabulary,start focusing on what he/she thinks, feels and believes and then start talking.And this is the purpose of the lesson,to make you speak in a free way without fear of mistakes.Furthermore, you will be able to improve your pronunciation and,if there is a need,we can work with the articulation of some letters which are difficult to pronounce or with the combination of consonants (in Russian).In addition,you will be taught how to expand your vocabulary and how to convert your passive lexicon into active.Finally,grammar.We can work with your own material or I can provide someMy teaching material

Thank you Tonia for this first lesson and the materials provided. I thought that going over the whole alphabet in less than 30 min was a bit much at first, but what a suprise when I ended up reading a few words at the end of this first trial class! Looking forward to more lessons!
