Hi! My name is Julia. I am a community teacher of English here on italki. I have been teaching English since 2015 both in-person and online, and I have had students from all over the world.
I have a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and cross-cultural communication, so I am a big fan of learning foreign languages myself and exploring different cultures. Besides English, I can speak Armenian, Russian, and I’m currently studying Chinese.
Hobbies: reading, crocheting, café-hopping, learning languages
Interests: health and fitness, psychology, history, and cultural differences.

As an English Teacher who has worked with people of different ages being on all sorts of levels, I have become more patient and friendly with time. I give my students constructive feedback that will improve their language level without making them feel discouraged. My students aren’t afraid to speak up, they feel comfortable enough to learn from their own mistakes.
As a language enthusiast myself, I understand what struggles a language learner can go through. I am here to be a language partner for my students and provide them with thought-provoking and productive lessons.My lessons & teaching style
On italki, I offer a variety of lessons. Lessons are tailored to the needs of the student and their age. Lessons are primarily conducted in English, however, even beginners will feel comfortable because PPTs, context, and visual aids will always be there for assistance. I pay attention to fundamental pronunciation features, grammar points, and essential vocabulary right from the start. Feedback is usually given after the student finishes speaking. Unless requested otherwise, I only correct relevant mistakes to avoid overwhelming the learner and damaging their confidence.My teaching material
