About Me

I have been a teacher of French as a foreign language (F-L-E) for about fifteen years; I love my job which allows me to be in contact every week with people from very different cultures and languages. I live and work close to Paris; I also like to travel or dream of travelling all over the world... Naturally enough, I am very interested in languages and not only the ones I teach or know (English and Portuguese). I ride my bike a lot in my daily life, I listen to classical and Brazilian music and I am an amateur pianist ...Me as a Teacher
I know the student public well as I have been teaching in several Parisian universities for 10 years. I also teach adults from a wide range of backgrounds and languages and I am interested and curious to learn about and understand the diversity of people, backgrounds and cultures. I can give explanations in English and Brazilian Portuguese.
I have recently adapted my teaching ability to online lessons via videoconferencing: this makes it possible to provide students with a variety of digital tools ! I love my job², I hope to help you communicate better in French, see you soon!My lessons & teaching style
After almost one year of teaching for individual students, I have learned that adaptating my way of teaching for each student is fundamental; this is the aim of the trial lesson but if goes farther than this first discussion ! Then, depending on your level and goals, the lessons can be based on a guided and corrected conversation, or take a more classical path, with pedagogical activities for comprehension or expression. I have developed digital tools using mind maps, Kahoot, Padlet, Learning Apps; I also think the use of a common material (e.g., workbooks rather than textbooks) can be motivating, both for the lessons themselves and for learning at home. .My teaching material
