About Me

I have some experience in the field of teaching so I'm not a total rookie. I have been teaching on Italki for the past year now. I can connect with anyone and find out, what interests them the most. I had to learn a whole new language (German) to be able to study in Austria, therefore I know how hard it is and what to focus on. Of course I would adjust to your needs and wishes. Whatever type of learning you wish for, I can make it happen. And I would be happy to do it :)My lessons & teaching style
I like to start with simple sentences and simple conversation. I then step it up with some exercises, if one wishes. Of course everything is adjusted to the individual. I do not force anything and the conversation topic is in your hands. If you prefer, that I chose the topic, I would be happy to. I keep a relaxed environment and there is really no need to be afraid. I know how hard it is to learn a new language.My teaching material

After one year of lessons, I hardly can find a valuable reason for me not to have other lessons with Jakob (except of course mastering Slovene, which is way far for now). Our lessons were (and still are) worth every cent I've spent: he is extremely supportive, helpful, friendly, and never boring. and I love the fact that he makes you feel at ease, you can't be stressed after a lesson with him (even when you face difficult topics). So, if you're looking for a top quality, that's where you need to be. just leave some slots for me, cause I'm not looking for a new one!

Very interesting first lesson. I've found the course both enjoyable and instructive. Jabob prepared also material which is a nice touch for a first lesson. I didn't see the hour passed! I'm very interested in continuing my learning of Slovenian with him.

Jakob is the best tutor you could ask for. I love how patient he is, reliable and fun.
He is such an inspiration for me as well and I am learning a lot more than just Slovenian with him. I highly recommend everyone to have him as a tutor.
