About Me

I am an intrepid traveller, having visited over 25 countries, and an enthusiastic martial artist when I bother to train :D I've lived on four continents and now living in Poland. I'm bilingual and speak six languages, some better than others :D - 12+ years of ESL teaching experience in Asia, Turkey and SA. I graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering and have five years of corporate/industry experience. - TEFL certification, TKT, MEd in progress. I've worked in various language institutes specialising in Business/General English and IELTS prep(IDP certified), university level in Intensive/English for Special Purposes, created bespoke industry programs e.g. for Trade Unions

Me as a Teacher

I’ve realised over the years that, the material e.g grammar, is hardly ever the true problem stopping a learner's improvement. It is usually the mindset, approach to learning, and life skills. I think of myself as more of a facilitator and coach than just an instructor. I’m also a certified life coach which gives me the ability to recognise your blocks and suggest solutions to help you improve. As an example, your GRAMMAR MISTAKES may not be about you not knowing grammar rules, but because you don't allow yourself time to finish your thoughts. I will notice that and help you correct it. I work *on THE PERSON* as well as the material.
