About Me

PLEASE NOTE: I will only be teaching on iTalki until the end of July 2021. I am a TEFL certified English language teacher from the UK. I have been teaching English alongside my studies for one and a half years. I love to meet new people and learn about the world which is why I love teaching. I recently completed a master's degree in Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, throughout which I lived in Estonia, Scotland and Russia. I am currently studying the Russian language, so I really understand the challenges involved in learning a new language.

Me as a Teacher

I love to share British culture with my students by sharing various resources for them to watch, read or listen to outside of our classes together. I encourage my students to use English in their daily life and I always spend time between classes searching for relevant news stories, blogs or documentaries that I know will be interesting for them. You will see that I have lots of other tips and tricks to encourage you to use English in your daily life.

My lessons & teaching style

It is really important for me to know why you would like to learn English. Once I know a little bit more about you, I will prepare a learning plan that will help you to achieve these goals, using topics which are of interest to you. I use the communicative method which means that you will speak a lot during our classes. Please note, instead of taking a break in the middle of my classes, we finish each session 5 minutes early. This ensures that I am on time for my lessons with you!
