Привет, ребята! :)
My name is Lena, and I am a certified Russian language teacher with 10 years of experience. I was born and raised in Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic.
I enjoy a variety of activities, from traveling and swimming to crocheting and studying languages. Volunteering as an English teacher for displaced individuals is also an important part of my life.Me as a Teacher
I received a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and a Master’s degree with honors in Russian Language and Russian Culture from Saint Petersburg State University.
I have taught Russian both at home and abroad (College of William and Mary, Colorado College), and helped more than 300 students from 47 countries.
I believe that learning foreign languages enables us to connect with different people and cultures, and I am very happy to help you along the way.My lessons & teaching style
I see students as active participants in their learning journey and encourage them to get involved both in and out of the classroom. I love using a communicative approach to teaching Russian, where we start speaking right from the beginning. I create custom materials and use fun, interactive tools like Google, Canva, Kahoot, and Miro to keep lessons engaging.
I know learning a new language can be challenging, so I make sure to celebrate every success, big or small, to help students build confidence and enjoy experimenting with the language.My teaching material
