💬 I love learning languages and have studied more than seven:

🏠 I lived in Germany for 1 year to study German, so I know exactly how hard it can be to try and learn a new language.
🌎 I love travelling! I have been all over Europe, and even to Japan! My favourite part of any trip is always learning about new cultures, and of course, trying delicious new foods!Me as a Teacher
I am a professional teacher who specializes in teaching online! My lessons are interactive and fun. I am always learning new skills to improve my teaching, and I like to use a mix of real-world and ESL-specific material in my classroom. This combination helps you learn new vocabulary and phrases in a way that works!
I started learning languages when I was six, so I know that a good teacher is one who listens to you. I will always adapt my lessons to meet your needs and help you reach your goals. I teach all ages/levels; I have taught university students, professional adults, children and more!
But, I should warn you: my students have said that my enthusiasm for grammar is infectious.My lessons & teaching style
I use a communicative approach; that means YOU are the one talking. I want to teach you vocabulary and grammar naturally, so we don't do grammar drills or exercise sheets. Instead, I use readings, videos, songs, etc to give CONTEXT. With context, you will never forget what we learn! My goal is to give you vocabulary and grammar that you can USE, not just check off a list of grammar rules.
And all my lessons are customized to YOUR needs and the skills you want to improve. In the first lesson, we can discuss what lesson style and materials work best for you. I will then write you a plan so you can achieve your goals! We will check the plan each month together and make new goals.My teaching material

Master's - Medieval StudiesMy research focus was in Comparative Literature and Linguistics. I won the Canadian Graduate Scholarship (Master's) for $17,500 to complete my course of study. I graduated summa cum laude at the top of my class.

Bachelor’s - English Language and Literature, and Modern Languages [German]I completed my Double Major with a 4.0 GPA. During my course of study, I also went on exchange to Heidelberg, Germany. This gave me excellent first hand experience in second-language study and cultural sensitivity.

Online ESL TeacherI have worked for HANSA Language Centre since January 2021. During that time, I have gained experience teaching various age groups (kids, teen, adult, etc) from Level 1 to Level 9. I develop my own curriculum and have successfully implemented a communicative approach to impress tangible, everyday grammar on my students. Students and staff alike have praised me for my interactive teaching style. The program is primarily run online through Zoom.

A very interesting lesson. Hannah not only teaches English, but she chooses topics for conversation that evoke a lot of pleasant memories that you want to tell about immediately. So the student gets two in one: learning the language and having a pleasant conversation.

I have studied writing with her for several months. Her knowledge of writing is so great! I wrote about different topics, but what I was amazed at is that writing is not just writing down some ideas. In fact, there is more than that. I hope to have her as my teacher again soon.
