About Me

I have been a Welsh language tutor for over 5 years. Over the last 5 years, I've had students from across the world join my sessions. In 2019, I graduated with my Master’s in Education, where I focused my studies on language acquisition. I thoroughly enjoy working with people at the beginning of their language learning journey and seeing them learn and improve, and equally enjoy supporting more advanced learners. I have experience with different levels of abilities and ages, having taught people aged 7 and up, online and in-person, in large groups, smaller groups and on a personal basis. I am also currently working on my TEFL.My lessons & teaching style
I tailor lesson content to the ability and the needs of the learner. I tend to work on a more conversational lesson plan; but try to ensure there are opportunities for multimedia content including games and a written task in every lesson. Although I try to provide a well-rounded class, I ‘m a believer in “homework” and self-study opportunities. I enjoy getting to know the learner, in order to be able to provide a more personal learning experience.My teaching material

Great first class with Dan, very friendly, very student oriented. He helped me with the kind of sentences I rarely use when I speak, which forced me to work on my conjugation, it seems it is now clarified. Dan is very helpful putting in the notes all the different ways of saying the same things (at least one form will stick to my brain! :) ). Speaking on a one to one call will force me to make full sentences by myself and hopefully I can improve my fluency a little bit. Looking forward to learn more about all complexities of the Welsh language! :) Diolch yn fawr !

Another fab class with Dan - I need to work on my comprehension and Dan helped me, we listened to a podcast and I tried understanding what was said in the conversation then Dan was helping me with words I did not know. This was a very needed exercise that I need to repeat as often as possible. But Dan knows how to make things fun so time flew by! Diolch yn fawr!
