Who doesn't love a good conversation? My name is Amanda and I've been teaching for more than a decade with students in America, South Korea, China, and Mexico in person and online.
I currently speak English (native), Spanish (B2), and Korean (B1). In the future, I'd like to study Norwegian, Japanese, German, Chinese, and anything else that piques my interest.
When I'm not studying languages, I enjoy working on physical fitness and competing in running and triathlon events, reading, cooking, traveling, writing, playing piano, and soaking up sunshine and fresh air.

I currently am the ESL Director for a program in my city where I teach English to adults using conversation and crosstalk. During the day, I teach reading, writing, and grammar to middle school students. My long-term dream is to revolutionize second language learning so that all students can learn to skills to become bilingual. I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in education and would like to get my doctorate in linguistics, studying second language acquisition.
I have experience working with every age level, from three years old up to adults from various backgrounds. I enjoying learning about my students and sharing myself with you.My lessons & teaching style
I believe the best way to learn a language well is through comprehensible input. I think you need to receive a lot of input so that when you are ready to talk, the words are already in your hear so you can talk instead of struggle to remember rules and form sentences and miss what the other speaking is saying to you.
For students who are beginners or lower intermediate, I am happy to take native Spanish speakers in a crosstalk class where you speak Spanish and I speak English to grow listening skills.
For students ready to talk, we will have conversations about various topics so you can be exposed to new vocabulary and build confidence.
