They are a one of an important things in economic in each countries. They can contribute to the development of a country. So, Oman considered one of the country that allow the foreign labor to work in it. The numbers of foreign workers in Oman in 2006 was 92.4 per cent. Also, in 2010, there were 852,000 foreign workers in Oman. They can also cause problems of the country. In this essay I will look at some advantages and disadvantages of having such a large of foreign labor force in Oman.

In conclusion, Gulf countries, Oman in particular, has seen a huge growth in population over the past 40 years from foreign labor. In my essay, the disadvantages are outweighing the advantages. So, in my opinion, it’s important to have some control over the use of foreign workers. Also, we cannot disrupt the labor market for local workers when we use the foreign labor. The country should focus on the citizens before turning outside on foreign labor.

Foreign labor has many disadvantages, namely population increase, unemployment, arrival of infectious disease, and an increase in crime. First one, the population keeps increasing because the number of foreign labor is increasing every day specific from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, ate. Second, the level of unemployment is become higher. The foreign workers are taking away job from the local. Third, some foreign workers were bringing with them some of infectious diseases which lead to the spread between people, such as AIDs and influenza. Forth, they can transfer many habits and bad ideas alien to our society. Also, they bring and make many problems in our country. Foreign workers pose a threat to our country security. For example, Pakistani workers constitute a security risk through the sale of drugs for people to state that he planted some types of drugs and export to our country. Also, some of the foreign labors tend to steal the rich people. These are some of the disadvantages of having such a large of foreign labor force in Oman.

There are many advantages of having foreign labor force in Oman for example, higher levels of the economy, the quality of Omani life and foreign relations. First of all, the presence of foreign workers in Oman leads to higher levels of the economy for example; they developed the building in many cities in Oman like Muscat. It has a lot of new and big building such as Grand Hyatt Muscat hotel, the wave tourist in AL-Seeb. The foreign labor developed the Omani companies, so company income is became a high. Foreign workers have contributed in accelerating the process of national development. Second, the quality of Omani life has improved; the Omani government has made a distinct effort to regulate the influx of foreign employees. Third, Foreign labor contributed to the consolidation of foreign relations between Oman and the countries of the world, including Islamic countries. For example, Exchange of products such as ivory and teak between Oman and India. Also, Import of silk from China. These are the advantages of of having such a large of foreign labor force in Oman.
