I am a teacher of English as a second language. I am from England, so English is my native language. I can also speak Mandarin Chinese to intermediate level which means that I am able to specialise in teaching beginner students who speak Mandarin. I have been teaching students from all around the world in London for ten years. Before that I taught English in China for five years. My hobbies are listening to rock music and playing acoustic guitar. I also enjoy watching movies and keeping up to date with the latest news stories.Mostrar traducción

My students have described me as patient and clear when speaking and writing on the whiteboard. I developed my teaching style during my fourteen years of experience and because of the courses I have studied. I graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Education (Applied Linguistics) which improved my understanding of how students learn languages by speaking and using new vocabulary and grammar in different situations. By completing the Cambridge ESOL CELTA and DELTA qualifications I have learnt to be clear in my explanations in class and to use proven teaching methodology.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
My lessons are communicative and often involve a discussion about a topic. I would then introduce some new vocabulary, grammar, or pronunciation point. After that you would be able to speak using the new language. I would recommend that you take a trial lesson first so that I can assess your language abilities and can find out what you would like to study in the lessons. I can teach English to students at all levels from A1-C2. I also specialise in teaching complete beginners whose first language is Mandarin Chinese. Beginner and elementary lessons can be taught using English and Mandarin Chinese if required.Mi material didáctico
