Hello!!
I teach English as a Second Language in college and online. I also have taught Spanish in public high school here in North Carolina, USA.
I am passionate about helping my students improve their fluency and confidence speaking English.
Many of my students choose to work on interview skills and business conversational skills.
I also work with students to improve pronunciation issues. Most of importantly, we talk about a variety of topics.
I love learning language and teaching it. My husband is from South India and we enjoy traveling and eating all types of ethnic foods.
I have two daughters. We enjoy walking our dog and going to the beach together.

I believe one acquires the language most from hearing native speakers in various settings. I will work with you to create goals that you can achieve quickly.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
Each lesson is designed for what you need. We focus on long term and short term goals. My entire lesson is conversation. I will share with you an opinion, idea, or something about my day as a model then you will respond. Then I will provide useful feedback as needed throughout the lesson.
I love teaching grammar but that is not my main focus. When you hear the language enough the grammar becomes natural. As a grammar issue arises then we focus on that grammar point as needed.
I have grammar study tools and resources that I can provide based on your language gaps.
I always provide written feedback via text.

She is truly an expert in interview classes. She helped me tell my thought, fixed my sentences to be neat, suggested better sentences, and corrected my pronunciation! Not only is she professional, but also she is warm and friendly:)!!!! If there is an interview opportunity for me, surely I contact her again.

I have had 5 lessons with Carolyn to prepare for job interview. After those I have became more confident in my English and self-presentation. Carolyn is good teacher for this.
