English Conversation sessions are designed for those who wish to practice their conversation and discussion skills. Participants should have a fairly well-established level of fluency in English from pre-intermediate and upwards.

A variety of topics can be covered as well as refreshers and practice with grammar, pronunciation and other skills and functions. This course outline can also be changed slightly to suit your needs. If you are planning to visit a particular English-speaking country, we can explore the language and culture of that country.

Any topics and themes can be explored. REMEMBER: Grammar and vocabulary explanations will be limited to error correction and specific questions. No new topics will be developed and no lesson plan will be prepared.

BA Honours in Philosophy, class II (ii).  I took a 2-year module in Linguistics and a 1-year module in German, having studied German and French at 'A level' (16-18, UK-based qualification).  Linguistics introduced me to aspects of phonetics, semantics, syntax, and so on.

I co-tutored on systems training at the University, face-to-face, around a module for administrators to enter staffing and training data to the corporate system.

Part-time online tutoring to learners at different levels, some formal, some informal.  Speaking practice for most students but others require a specific activity, work on a particular language skill or aspect of grammar.  Some are preparing for an IELTS test (or similar).
