This hits so hard. I can't remember how many times I think of giving up. But what motivates me was my goal, when I set my goal that I must do this and that, it helps me to move forward. Another thing is to reflect what I had achieved even just a small progress. It works for me so far. :)

Since the new term started, I have been frustrated because of the workload. I would like to do a lot of things to enrich my after-work life, including reading books, learning languages, taking dance lessons, cooking, etc. However, it’s impossible to achieve them all, so I have to make choices and give up some of them. Sometimes the problem isn’t that I don’t have enough time but that I don’t have enough energy. I try to make full use of my weekends to refresh myself. Today I cleaned up my room and did some cooking. I found that doing housework is a great help to reorganize my life.

I went out with my family today. I want to cherish the time.

My grandma fell down and broke her knee. It’s serious because of her osteoporosis. Now she’s bedridden. My mother has been waiting on her hand and foot. She weighs more than my mother, so it’s very difficult. My aunts refused to keep in touch with her, let alone take care of her. Prior to this, she was already unsteady on her legs. But she refused to use a walker or cane. She thinks it’s a curse, and said “I saw my neighbor who bought a walker, and she died soon.” When she was younger, my step grandfather was still alive, he advised her to go out and do some exercises, but she didn’t listen to him. They had heated arguments over this. My mother also wanted accompanied her to go out, even said “Even trees cannot live without sunshine.” But she said, “There are still dead trees under the sunshine.”

Gorgeous sunny day today – the sky's such a vibrant blue, it almost feels like you could swim in it! Speaking of refreshing things, my new electric toothbrush arrived! My dad (bless his heart) seems to have misplaced my old one during our trip – luggage duty can be tricky, I guess. But that just means an upgrade to an even more advanced one! This new brush is super cool – it connects to my phone and tracks my brushing motions. If my technique isn't quite up to par, it alerts me and even shows a quick tutorial. Pretty smart, right? Needless to say, this beauty isn't leaving my side anytime soon!
