In this class, we'll discuss movies and series / TV shows. Here's the structure : Part 1 (WARM UP) : You'll be invited to talk about your favorite genres and the last movie you went to watch at the cinema / movie theater, how often you watch a movie or a TV show. Part 2 (PRESENTATION) : You'll present a movie / TV show you'd strongly recommend us to watch. Among the requirements: - the plot (but without telling the end, no spoil, please!) - main character(s)) - why you like it. At the end, each student can say which of the movies / TV shows mentioned they would consider watching. Part 3 (DISCUSSION) : For the discussion part, I would need you to think of : - the best comedy ever (the type you could watch over ad over without getting tired of it) - the best drama picture ever - the saddest movie ever - the most frightening movie ever - the best thriller ever - (optional) the best musical - (optional) the best western - (optional) the best adventure movie - (optional) the best biopic - (optional) the best book adaptation / the worst book adaptation - the best drama series / tv show - the best comedy series / tv show - your favorite director(s) - your favorite actors or the most talented through cinema history - disappointing movies or movies which should have never existed - a movie from your country you'd really recommend - (optional) robs in Academy awards or on the contrary, well-deserved awards --> Obviously, none of these questions has to be objective and you're absolutely invited to be biased ;). Students will grow their vocabulary regarding cinema and television. They'll also be able to work both on continuous and interactive oral expression. Also, with the document "Exprimer son opinion" they should train their ability to express their opinion in a large range of ways.
