*In order to get the most out of these group classes, please download the class material and do the preparation exercised beforehand* Whether you have travelled to Northern Europe in the past, would like to travel there in the future, or especially if you are from that part of the world, this group class it for you! In this class we will discuss travel and cultural vocabulary, starting with a short warm up game on travel vocabulary. Then, the main part of the lesson will be conversation based, where I ask each student various questions about their experiences and/or intentions to travel in the future. In this section, other students are encouraged to 'jump in' the conversation by asking follow up questions and/or sharing their own thoughts to a question. There are no requirements for this lesson, but students should be able to talk about their experiences and intentions rather comfortably, and of course a basic knowledge of Northern European culture, geography, etc., is preferable. Personally, I've spent most of my life in Northern Europe as I can safely say it is my culture. As well as living in Manchester and Bristol in the UK, I've also spent 3 and a half years living in Berlin, Leipzig and Frankfurt (am Main), Germany, and visited countries like the Netherlands, Sweden, Czechia, Switzerland, and others on multiple occasions.

Students will learn lots of new travel and cultural vocabulary, as well as become more confident in speaking about their past experiences and intentions for the future. Students will also learn about different cultural dimensions and some key differences between nations, such as between your mother country and the country which you are interested in visiting.
