Es gibt folgende Regeln für kurze Vokale:

Sobald du in einer Silbe neben dem Vokal einen Doppelkonsonanten (ck, ll, mm, nn, pp, ss, usw.) siehst, ist das ein Zeichen! Sage das Vokal so kurz es geht. 

Achtung: ein -ss ist ein Zeichen für ein kurzes Vokal, wohingegen das ß dir erlaubt, das Vokal sowie den Konsonanten laut auszusprechen: Hier ein Beispiel zu „ss" und „ß“:

Viel Spaß (nicht. Spass) beim Hören, Erkennen und Mitmachen:

Mülltrennung schützt Ressourcen und reduziert Abfall. Papiertonnen sammeln Kartons, Zeitungen und Pappe. Glascontainer trennen Flaschen nach Farben: Braun, Grün, Klar. Plastikverpackungen kommen in gelbe Säcke, während Biomüll in Kompostbehältern verrottet. Batterien enthalten Schadstoffe und gehören nicht in Restmüll. Sammelstellen nehmen sie kostenlos an. Alte Kleidung kann Secondhand-Shops helfen oder Textilcontainer füllen. Elektronikschrott gehört in Recyclinghöfe, wo Fachleute Geräte zerlegen. Regelmäßiges Trennen spart Energie, schont Umwelt und vermindert Treibhauseffekte. Müllberge wachsen rasant, doch mit richtigem Handeln verbessern wir die Zukunft. Tipp: Etiketten auf Verpackungen erklären Trennhinweise. Kleinere Schritte bewirken Großes, wenn jeder mitmacht. Die richtige Mülltrennung ist eine wichtige Verantwortung!
