余华先生的《活着》是我在初中的时候读的，当时在图书馆哭的泣不成声。想到了网上最近几年流行的一句话：“时代的一粒沙，落在个人身上就是一座山”。似乎每一代人都有需要面对的苦难、挫折、挑战，个体的命运在历史的洪流面前显得微不足道。
以下是节选：

1、没有什么比时间更具有说服力了，因为时间无需通知我们就可以改变一切。

2、以笑的方式哭，在死亡的伴随下活着。

3、人是为活着本身而活着，而不是为了活着之外的任何事物所活着。

4、人类无法忍受太多的真实。

5、做人不能忘记四条，话不要说错，床不要睡错，门槛不要踏错，口袋不要摸错。

6、生的终止不过一场死亡，死的意义不过在于重生或永眠。死亡不是失去生命，而是走出时间。

7、一个人命再大，要是自己想死，那就怎么也活不了。

8、少年去游荡，中年想掘藏，老年做和尚。

9、人啊，活着时受了再多的苦，到了快死的时候也会想个法子来宽慰自己。

10、我沉湎于想象之中，又被现实紧紧控制，我明确感受着自我的分裂。

11、内心让他真实地了解自己，一旦了解了自己也就了解了世界。

12、检验一个人的标准，就是看他把时间放在了哪儿。别自欺欺人；当生命走到尽头，只有时间不会撒谎。

13、只要一家人天天在一起，也就不在乎什么福分了。

14、人老了也是人，是人就得干净些。

15、鸡养大了变成鹅，鹅养大了变成羊，羊大了又变成牛。

16、人死像熟透的梨，离树而落，梨者，离也。

17、活着是自己去感受活着的幸福和辛苦，无聊和平庸；幸存，不过是旁人的评价罢了。

18、女人都是一个心眼，她认准的事谁也不能让她变。

19、人要是累得整天没力气，就不会去乱想了。

20、人都是一样的，手伸进别人口袋里掏钱时那个眉开眼笑，轮到自己给钱了一个个都跟哭丧一样。

Jag pratar om självkärlek och hur det kan kopplas till allting, om vi tar hand om oss själva och älskar oss själva så kommer resultatet bli att världen blir bättre. Jag har lärt mig att börja ta ansvar för mitt liv därför har ett resultat blivit att sluta med kaffe och om det blev för mig som en handling av självkärlek.

Persians say نوش جان when someone is eating or drinking. It literally has the sense of wishing someone that what they eat or drink will be pleasant and nourishing.

نوش جان!
Nooshe jân!
→ Enjoy your meal!

☕ Someone is drinking tea:
چای بخور، نوش جان!
Châi bokhor, nooshe jân!
→ Have some tea, enjoy!

🍰 Someone offers you cake:
این کیک خیلی خوشمزه‌ست. نوش جان!
In cake kheili khoshmaze-st. Nooshe jân!
→ This cake is delicious. Enjoy!

🔑 Cultural note:
You can say نوش جان to friends, family, guests, or even strangers. It’s a warm and friendly expression that you’ll hear often in Persian-speaking homes.

Welcome to this British English podcast. 

In this episode I'll be discussing the topic 'British politeness'.

Brits, which is short for 'British people', are often known for being polite. 

Polite means "showing respect for other people". For example, many Brits often say 'please and thank you'.

In Britain, people often say 'sorry'. They use the word 'sorry' in many different situations. For example,

"sorry I'm late!" or if a person bumps into you, they will often say 'sorry' very quickly. 

 British people are indirect when speaking. For example, a British person wouldn't say
"give me the salt", instead they would say "could you pass me the salt, please?". 

Finally, British people love to queue. 
To queue means 'to wait in line'. They queue for everything! Especially the bus!
