Around the world, "Kiwi" is a popular nickname for New Zealanders, and people from New Zealand will often call themselves "Kiwis" too. For most New Zealanders, the word Kiwi is a positive and friendly nickname — but where did it come from?

The name actually comes from the kiwi: a fluffy bird that has a round body, a long beak and cannot fly. It is only found in New Zealand.

While the bird was already used on New Zealand's stamps and money by the late 19th century, it was first used to represent New Zealand in 1904 — when it was used in a cartoon to represent the country's rugby team. After that, the bird was often shown in cartoons to represent the country.

During World War I, soldiers from New Zealand who were fighting in Europe wore an image of the bird on their uniforms. "Kiwi" became a popular nickname for these soldiers, and it continued to be used after the war.

So the people and the birds don't get mixed up, "Kiwi" as a nickname for New Zealanders is usually written with a capital K, while the bird's name is usually written with a small k: "kiwi."

The kiwi fruit, which is originally from China, is also named after the bird. In 1959, fruit exporters in New Zealand started calling it "kiwifruit" because its fluffy, brown skin looks similar to the fluffy bird.

However, it is important not to mix up Kiwi people, kiwi birds and the kiwi fruit! Although the fruit is usually just called "kiwi" in other parts of the world, New Zealanders only ever call it "kiwifruit."

By then, you will have had the chance to show your quality of work, work ethic, and commitment to the company, making you an ideal candidate.

While interviewing for an internal position is a wonderful opportunity, it includes unique challenges. One of the biggest mistakes people make when interviewing internally is failing to prepare adequately. They may believe the interview is simply a formality, and they have the job in the bag. Their interviewer may be familiar with their work, so they may not arrive prepared to talk about the specifics of their contributions. And finally, they may have a friendly relationship with the interviewer and treat the interview too casually.

I will never forget my first Indonesian Japanese-teacher, Retno-sensei. When I returned from Japan, I looked for her, but I couldn't find her. The Japanese Language Course where I met her couldn't (or didn't want to?) give her contact.

How could a teacher, teaching at simply an evening course, turn the student's next course of life? She was paid just to teach a language. But the impact she made was beyond.

Как я обещала, сегодня я расскажу о второй истории из фильма «Не может быть!». 
Вторая история называется «Забавное приключение». В ней Зощенко рассказывает нам историю про большую любовь. У актёра театра Барыгина-Замурского странная фамилия и обычная семья. У него есть жена и трое детей.  В воскресенье он говорит жене, что идёт на репетицию в театр. На самом деле, он идёт к любовнице. Его любовницу зовут Зина. Она не работает. У неё есть всё, что нужно. Большая квартира, красивые платья, дорогие аксессуары и любимый муж. 
Муж Зины работает главным инженером. Но у него тоже есть своя тайна. Он говорит Зине, что идёт на работу. А сам идёт к своей любовнице Софье. Софья – подруга Зины. Она не очень богатая, но интересная и творческая женщина. Она балерина, она танцует балет.  У неё нет своей квартиры, она живёт в комнате в коммунальной квартире. Коммунальная квартира – это квартира, где посторонние люди, не родственники, живут все вместе. У каждого есть отдельная комната, но кухня, ванная и туалет общие для всех.  
Сосед Софьи в коммунальной квартире - любовник жены актёра. 
В конце этой части фильма все шестеро героев случайно встречаются вместе. Они узнают об изменах своих супругов. Конечно, они очень расстраиваются, кричат, ругаются и плачут.  Потом они начинаю думать, как практичные люди. Они хотят развестись и жениться на своих любимых. Но это не так просто. Ведь их любовь к комфортной жизни сильнее, чем влюблённость. Никто не хочет переезжать из большой квартиры в маленькую квартиру. Никто не хочет потерять свою комфортную жизнь. Это очень трудный выбор. Как вы думаете, чем закончится их встреча?
