Herkese merhaba.Bu gün harika bir şiir ile Türkçe’de “if clause” cümlelerini
öğreneceğiz. Hadi başlayalım!
Koşul veya şart kelimeleri İngilizce’de “condition” demek.
Türkçe’de if clause yani koşul cümlesi kurmak aslında çok kolay: sadece if
clause cümlesinin sonuna -sa/-se koşul ekini getiriyoruz. Şu örneğe bakalım :
Yağmur yağar > It rains
Dışarı çıkmam. > I don’t go out.
Koşul cümlemiz “ yağmur yağar”.Yani bu cümlenin sonuna -sa /-se ekini
getiriyoruz.
Yağmur yağarsa dışarı çıkmam. > It means “If it rains ,I won’t go out.”

Melih Cevdet Anday’ın “ Çok güzel şey” şiirinde birçok if clause yani koşul
cümlesi var. Hadi inceleyelim.

Yaşamak güzel şey doğrusu, - In fact , it’s a good thing to be alive
Üstelik hava da güzelse, - Additionally if the weather is nice
Hele gücün kuvvetin yerindeyse - especially if you’re strong
Elin ekmek tutmuşsa bir de - plus if you earn your bread
Hele tertemizse gönlün - especially if your heart is pure
Hele kar gibiyse alnın - especially if your forehead is like snow
Yani kendinden korkmuyorsan - So if you’re not afraid of yourself
Kimseden korkmuyorsan dünyada - if you’re not afraid of anyone in the world
Dostuna güveniyorsan - if you trust your best friend
İyi günler bekliyorsan hele - especially if you expect good days
İyi günlere inanıyorsan- if you believe in good days
Üstelik hava da güzelse- additionally if the weather is nice
Yaşamak güzel şey - It’s a good thing to be alive
Çok güzel şey doğrusu! - It’s a very beautiful thing , actually.

Şiirden bazı deyimler :
gücü kuvveti yerinde olmak: (lit)someone’s power is on its place.
It means one is still physically avaliable to do daily duties or one is still

alnı kar gibi olmak: this comes from “alnı ak olmak”. :According to the
understanding, if you haven’t done anything bad to be ashamed of, if you’re
honorable, your forehead is white / bright.
