No episódio de hoje, vamos falar sobre a expressão idiomática "Meter os pés pelas mãos", uma expressão usada em língua portuguesa no Brasil em diferentes contextos para descrever pessoas desajeitadas que cometeram erros por não pensarem muito bem nas consequências de suas ações. What is the difference between ”これ、おいしいね” and ”これ、おいしいよ” ?

「これ、おいしいね」
「これ、おいしいよ」

この二つの文は、何がちがうでしょうか。

そう、さいごの「ね」と「よ」がちがいますね。

意味は同じでしょうか。　いいえ、ちがいます。

「これ、おいしいね」と言うと、
「うん、そうだね。」とか
「うーん、私はちょっと…。」といった答えが、
いっしょに食べている人から返ってくると思います。
つまり、「おいしいね」と言った人は、「あなたも　そう思うでしょう？」と言いたいときに使います。

「これ、おいしいよ」と言えば、
「へえ、そうですか。」とか
「じゃあ、たべてみようかな。」
といった答えが返ってくると思います。
つまり、相手の人はまだ食べていないので、おいしいかどうかを知らないんですね。　
相手の知らない新しい情報を伝えたいときに「よ」を使います。

まとめると、
「～ね」は、話し手も相手も知っていたりわかっている場合、
「～よ」は話し手は知っているけど、相手は知らないことを知らせるときに使います。　

「ね」…talking about something which you and your partner knows.
               Speakers want agreement from partner.
「よ」…Talking about something which speaker knows but listener doesn’t know.
               Speakers want to let listeners know new things.

Here's a definition of the phrasal verbs listed in the episode:

fall out - to separate. When one thing separates from another thing. Often used with teeth and hair.

keep up - continue.

cut out - stop.

cut down - reduce / consume less.

lie down - to put your body in the position where it is flat and horizontal - like being in bed.

come back - remember

pull out - remove using force.

wear off - the effects of something like a drug/medicine end gradually.

check up (noun) - inspection or examination.

check out - inspect, examine or investigate.
