Перепрошую! (Pereproshuyu!) – Excuse me!

Asking Where Something Is:

Де [place]? (De [place]?) – Where is [place]?
Example: Де метро? – Where is the metro?

Important Direction Verbs:

Йдіть (Ydit') – Go
Поверніть (Povernit') – Turn
Пройдіть (Proydit') – Walk past
Перейдіть (Pereydit') – Cross

Extra Direction Words:

Праворуч (Pravoruch) – Right
Ліворуч (Lívoruch) – Left
Прямо (Pryamo) – Straight ahead
Тут (Tut) – Here
Поруч (Poruch) – Nearby/Next to

Sample Dialogue:

You: Вибачте, де метро? (Excuse me, where is the metro?)
Local: Йдіть прямо, потім поверніть ліворуч. (Go straight, then turn left.)
You: Дякую! (Thank you!)
Local: Будь ласка! (You're welcome!)

How to Give Directions: A Beginner's Guide

There's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, and there's no reason to hide that you're unemployed from your family, friends, and professional network. In fact, you are far more likely to land a job quickly if you do tell people you're unemployed. Yet, it's not something that just rolls off the tongue.

Then, you'll hear a story from when I attended a career fair with my sister, and she told a lot of people she was looking for a job. El Carbonero es una canción folklórica de El Salvador considerada por muchos salvadoreños como un segundo himno nacional, ya que relata las costumbres de la época. Esta canción es bastante conocida y es incluso representada en actividades culturales por personas que la bailan vistiendo trajes típicos.

Esta canción popular fue creación de don Pancho Lara (Francisco Antonio Lara Hernández), nacido en 1900 en la hacienda La Presa en Santa Ana, poeta y músico al que se le atribuyen alrededor de 400 composiciones, muchas infantiles y las mas famosas de perfil folclórico y popular.

En síntesis El carbonero trata de un personaje de orígenes humildes que baja de las cumbres cargando carbón de madera que venderá en las calles de pueblos y el mercado.
impresiona la capacidad lírica y el poder de concreción de don Pancho Lara, quien murió el 12 de mayo de 1989 y que fue declarado Hijo Meritísimo de El Salvador un mes después. “El Carbonero” es un legado para El Salvador.
