“I’d really like to participate in a drawing contest, which is organised by my university every year, and the first three prize winners actually go forward to a national drawing contest. I wasn’t so into drawing over the years, but I found that during all the covid lockdowns that it was a great way to pass the time, and really helped me from going stir crazy stuck at home every day during the numerous lockdowns we had.

 

I recently showed some of my friends a few of my sketches, which are mostly landscapes, and they were very complimentary, and suggested that I enter a competition, which gave me a boost of confidence. 

I imagine that the  competition would be pretty stiff for this contest, but i feel confident that i’ve really developed my skills enough over the past year or so, and with my friends and families encouragement have been able to get the nerve up to show off my drawing skills in public.

 

I guess the main reason i’d like to take part in this contest is that i’ve really grown to love drawing, and feel it would actually be a lot of fun to enter, as well as giving me a new challenge which i think i’m now ready for. Another reason is of course the chance of winning a nice prize, and maybe even having my drawing going forward to the national contest, which would really be amazing.

인사 표현

ゴーシュは町の活動写真館でセロを弾く係りでした。
けれどもあんまり上手でないという評判でした。上手でないどころではなく実は仲間の楽手のなかではいちばん下手でしたから、いつでも楽長にいじめられるのでした。

ひるすぎみんなは楽屋にまるくならんで 今度の町の音楽会へ出す第六交響曲の練習をしていました。
トランペットは一生けん命歌っています。
ヴァイオリンも二いろ風のように鳴っています。
クラリネットもボーボーとそれに手伝っています。
ゴーシュも口をりんと結んで 眼を皿のようにして 楽譜を見つめながら もう一心に弾いています。

にわかにぱたっと楽長が両手を鳴らしました。
みんなぴたりと曲をやめてしんとしました。楽長がどなりました。
「セロがおくれた。トォテテ　テテテイ、ここからやり直し。はいっ。」
みんなは今の所の少し前の所からやり直しました。
ゴーシュは顔をまっ赤にして 額に汗を出しながら やっと今いわれたところを通りました。
ほっと安心しながら、つづけて弾いていますと 楽長がまた手をぱっとうちました。
「セロっ。糸が合わない。困るなあ。ぼくはきみに
ドレミファを教えてまでいるひまはないんだがなあ。」
みんなは気の毒そうにして わざとじぶんの譜をのぞき込こんだり
じぶんの楽器をはじいてみたりしています。ゴーシュはあわてて糸を直しました。
これはじつはゴーシュも悪いのですがセロもずいぶん悪いのでした。
「今の前の小節から。はいっ。」
みんなはまたはじめました。ゴーシュも口をまげて一生けん命です。そしてこんどはかなり進みました。
いいあんばいだと思っていると 楽長がおどすような形をして またぱたっと手をうちました。
またかとゴーシュは どきっとしましたが ありがたいことには こんどは別の人でした。
ゴーシュはそこでさっきじぶんのとき みんながしたように わざとじぶんの譜へ眼を近づけて
何か考えるふりをしていました。
