How long does it REALLY take to master English?

「ではお日さまの出るまでどうぞ。もう一ぺん。ちょっとですから。」
　かっこうはまた頭を下げました。
「だまれっ。いい気になって。このばか鳥め。出て行かんとむしって朝飯に食ってしまうぞ。」
　ゴーシュはどんと床をふみました。
　するとかっこうはにわかにびっくりしたように いきなり窓をめがけて飛び立ちました。
    そしてガラスにはげしく頭をぶっつけて ばたっと下へ落ちました。
「何だ、ガラスへ ばかだなあ。」
    ゴーシュはあわてて立って 窓をあけようとしましたが 
    元来この窓はそんなにいつでもするする開く窓ではありませんでした。
    ゴーシュが窓わくをしきりにがたがたしているうちに またかっこうがばっとぶっつかって
    下へ落ちました。見ると くちばしのつけねからすこし血が出ています。
「いま あけてやるから待っていろったら。」
   ゴーシュがやっと二寸ばかり窓をあけたとき、かっこうは起きあがって
   何が何でもこんどこそというように じっと窓の向うの東のそらをみつめて、
   あらん限りの力をこめた風で ぱっと飛びたちました。
   もちろんこんどは前よりひどくガラスにつきあたって かっこうは下へ落ちたまましばらく
   身動きもしませんでした。つかまえてドアから飛ばしてやろうと ゴーシュが手を出しましたら
   いきなりかっこうは目をひらいて飛びのきました。そしてまたガラスへ飛びつきそうにするのです。
   ゴーシュは思わず足を上げて窓をばっとけりました。ガラスは二三枚物すごい音して砕くだけ
   窓はわくのまま外へ落ちました。そのがらんとなった窓のあとをかっこうが矢のように
   外へ飛びだしました。そしてもうどこまでもどこまでも まっすぐに飛んで行って
  とうとう見えなくなってしまいました。
  ゴーシュはしばらくあきれたように外を見ていましたが、
  そのまま倒れるように へやのすみへころがって 眠ってしまいました。


＊正しくは「ガラスは 二三枚 ものすごい音して」です。
　すみません、「もの」を飛ばしてしまいました。
